CALSA Focus On Results

For the past decade, California has passed important policies to support English learners and identify Long-Term English Learners (LTELs). However, many LTELs are still left behind by our education system. This presentation will focus on Californians Together’s new report focused on LTELs in California schools and serve as a call to action to renew their promise.

The presentation will provide an overview of data about California LTELs, a summary of policy changes over the past decade, and focus on findings from a district survey and examples of promising practices. The presentation will also offer key district and state recommendations.
